Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Project Cost

For me the coolest parts of ohloh are the languages breakdown and the project cost calculator. But I think the cost calculator could easily be improved for vastly greater accuracy. I see that ... [More] OpenOffice would cost more than the Linux Kernel to develop? The problems I see are: -A lot of the kernel code has been rewritten innumerable times and has been tortured over for more hours in mailing list debate than in actual coding -A lot of the kernel code is in assembly -The kernel (and GCC) solve extremely complex problems that would require more experienced (higher paid) programmers Perhaps projects could be assigned cost weight based on their language breakdown, actual numbers of contributors and commits, and difficulty of problems solved, rather than just lines of code. Good work with ohloh btw. [Less]
