Technical Issue Help : enlistments with tags?

Unwise or not, you are not alone with this problem. Unfortunately, I don't have a good solution for you yet. Ohloh downloads only the HEAD of a CVS repository. To conserve storage space, this is the ... [More] only branch we download. We have a feature in the works to allow you to select a different branch, but it's not ready for prime time yet [CVS is a little complicated in this regard]. It's on the way, but I can't promise when we'll get there. [Less]

Technical Issue Help : Ohloh doesn't detect the projects license (and I can't edit the post body which is horribly formatted)

Hi jaumedejuan, It turns out that our GPL license detector was a little finicky, and it wasn't matching your citation. I've updated the code, and run your project through the mill again. GPL is now ... [More] turning up in your project. Thanks for coming to Ohloh. Let me know if you have any more questions, Robin [Less]

Feedback Forum : Berlioz not supported?

We support downloads from Berlios. A download can fail for a variety of reasons, the most common being temporary problems such as a server timeout or a networking hiccup. It's usually not fatal. ... [More] Berlios.de is on the far side of the globe from Ohloh, so sometimes the connection is flaky. I've restarted the job, and it appears to be going well. I'll keep an eye on it. I expect the report to be ready later today. Thanks, Robin [Less]

General Discussion : There's More to Firefox

Based on the Firefox report on Ohloh, you might come away with the mistaken impression that Firefox was achieved with only 50,000 lines of code. However, the Firefox project page listed here shows ... [More] only code that is unique to the browser, which extends other Mozilla libraries. Primarily, you should also review the project page for Mozilla Core, which includes several million lines of code and was built by hundreds of developers. This core library forms the bulk of Firefox. A search for mozilla on Ohloh will return all the relevant projects. We've considered merging all of the repositories for Mozilla Core into the Firefox project page, but for now we have decided to keep them distinct. We're open to discussion about this. Robin [Less]

General Discussion : SourceForge seems to be having trouble

We're having some trouble downloading the source control history for this project. I did some investigating, and it looks as though the SourceForge server is having some problems right now -- ... [More] Subversion operations aren't working consistently. I'll keep and eye on this project, and hopefully the server will come back and we can get the report done soon. Robin [Less]
