Technical Issue Help : ./p/52n --> ./p/e107

Hi Eike, This is a defect - we've added a ticket to fix it. The problem is that Ohloh can use either numeric project IDs or alphanumeric project names to get to a project's page. The correct URL for ... [More] the project you're looking for is https://www.ohloh.net/p/n52 and the URL you entered should have generated a 404 error. But Ohloh converted 52n to the project ID number 52 and showed you the project with that numeric ID, which happens to be the e107 project. Oops! This is not a frequently encountered bug so we'll be fixing it in the normal course of business. Thanks for the report! -- rms [Less]

Technical Issue Help : Can't invite contributors to join Ohloh.net

Hi Marc, All you need to do is add ../new to the end of your URL: https://www.ohloh.net/contributors/2096422929761973/invites/new and it will work. Sometimes contributor IDs change when new analyses ... [More] are published but this isn't the cause of this failure. Thanks! [Less]

Technical Issue Help : Help with API 406 errors on commits and users

Hi Greg, Ohloh doesn't have an API for people records, but it does have an API to /accounts. https://www.ohloh.net/accounts.xml?q=erikd&api_key=mykey will give you his account record. To get ... [More] details on this account you can use https://www.ohloh.net/accounts/erikd.xml?api_key=mykey We also do not have a /commits API either, for performance reasons. Because of the way Ohloh is implemented, it might be possible for a /commits API to cause the site to slow down significantly in responding. That said, we will take your ideas into consideration for improvements. Can you explain a bit more what your use case is? Maybe there are alternative approaches that could work if we understand better what you're trying to accomplish. Thanks! -- rms Rich Sands - Ohloh PM [Less]
