Is there a limit on the number of projects a person may have? Whenever I attempt to create a new project, I am getting a 422 error?
Must have been temporary. Maybe you caught a code refresh. Seems to be working now.
Ok, I'll try again.
Nope, I'm still getting a 422.
Walter, are you still unable to create new projects? If so, can you link to a screenshot of the problem you are seeing?
The resulting page is a blank page. If I open up firebug, this is what I get in the net panel:
Date Fri, 08 Oct 2010 13:28:29 GMT
Content-Type text/html; charset=utf-8
X-Powered-By Phusion Passenger (modrails/modrack) 2.2.4
Status 422 Unprocessable Entity
Also, keep in mind, I don't get a response body, just headers.
I have exactly 50 projects so it is clear to me that there is a hard cut-off for the number of projects a user may have. Like I said, a project for me might be 100 - 200 lines of code.
Thanks for the info Walter.
I've entered a bug about this on our side.
I have identified the code that is restricting it to 50 projects, I just need to better understand the side effects of raising this limit before we do.
I'll reply here once I know more :)
Thanks for entering a bug. Can I also request that if you support a large number of projects (> 50), that you generate aggregate reports or buttons for that as well? ie. 75 projects, 7500 lines of code, $500 estimated cost, etc.
The maximum number of projects is now 200.
Walter: We had to roll back the code changes we pushed out yesterday. Some sort of bug caused new user registrations to fail.
So you are still limited to 50 projects for the time being until we get a chance to fix the problems and roll the code out again.
This will likely be in several weeks, after we've migrated the servers from Chicago to Boston.
I'll update this and let you know when we've done that.
We physically migrated the servers last week to Boston.
We just pushed the code changes to the servers a few minutes ago.
You can now create up to 200 projects.
Ok, cool, that will accommodate me :). I actually took a large number of my projects down while I refactor to make them more consistent.
