FXiTe is not abandoned!

According to:
https://www.ohloh.net/p/fxite/factoids/14802187

The source code for fxite appears abandoned, and has not been changed in over a year.

This is not correct, the latest official release was November 30, 2011 (less than 3 months ago.) There have been several github commits even since then, the most recent was on January 24.

I think it might be that you are monitoring the old abandoned CVS repo on http://savannah.nongnu.org , please use the github repo at https://github.com/yetanothergeek/fxite instead.

Thanks,

Jeff,

As manager of this project, you can make these changes at any time. I'd be glad to help with the details if I can. Please let me know here if you need anything.

Thanks!

I need for the page I mentioned above to stop saying the project is abandoned, but I don't see how I can do that.

The only reference I see is here:

https://www.ohloh.net/p/fxite/links

and that page already points to the new github repo.

Thanks,

Jeff,

You can add the new repository to the enlistments page and then once it's in place, you can choose to retain both enlistments (if the old one contains past history that isn't in the new repo) and possibly get inflated lines-of-code counts because of possible duplication or delete the old repository and get accurate lines-of-code counts at the cost of any history the old enlistment may contain. Your choice. If you need, I can add the new repository and then you can see how that affects the statistics. Let me know.

Thanks!

Jeff,

I have added the new repository as you described. As expected, there has been a substantial increase in lines-of-code across all categories to roughly double. First commit is 2009-11-10 and last commit is now 2012-01-24. I don't see the source code for fxite appears abandoned phrase in the factoids page (the link you gave is now invalid.)

I am going to try disabling the CVS enlistment temporarily and see how the stats come up once the analysis is recalculated.

With that done the lines-of-code look more like they did before. The commit dates are the same first-and-last but there are less of them (480 vs 650 or so).

I will leave this in this state but you can reenable the CVS repo in history if you need to.

Thanks!
