A new Windows installer (wireshark-setup-0.99.6a.exe) has been released
in order to fix a problem with updating from WinPcap 4.0 to 4.0.1.
There are no other changes in this release. The source code and U3
packages have not changed.

Wireshark 0.99.6 has been released. Security-related vulnerabilities in
the HTTP, DCP ETSI, SSL, DHCP, and MMS dissectors have been fixed along
with the iSeries file reader. See the

A WPA Pre-shared Key Generator has
been added to the site. It can be used to convert a WPA passphrase SSID
combination to a 256-bit pre-shared key used for encryption and
decryption.
It can also be used to work around a bug in Wireshark 0.99.5 which prevents
passphrases containing the colon character ':' from being used.

According to eWEEK, we are one of "the applications that have
moved open-source technologies from corporate curiosities to integral
enterprise tools."
…although we're not sure why OpenSSH and OpenSSL were forced to share a
slide.
