This is the home of the LiteratureSoft.org open source project known as The Literature Assistant or TLA for short. The program was originally a freeware program with a closed source license. It was written in VBA using Microsoft Access for forms, reports, and database. Due to the architectural design, it has always been possible for users to modify the source code and they were encouraged to do so by the development team. When it was decided to migrate to VB.NET as the development platform, the team determined that it would be in everyone's best interest to make the new version a proper open source project.
