This is a project plan for SWE6633 Team A, carried out for Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) course during the academic year 2008-2009.
The project concentrates on a multi-user project management, effort estimation and system tracking. Thus, project managers would manage the project’s purpose, players, and risk when starting a new project. Designers and architects would be able to enter both functional and non-functional requirements. Users could assign these requirements with effort estimations using a variety of estimation methods and metrics. Size estimation would be available utilizing function-point or lines-of-code metrics. The entry of size estimates will be facilitated by function-point and lines-of-code estimators. Effort estimation, by function-point or lines-of-code, should be provided in person-months and calculated using a predetermined set of efficiency factors. Users will track project requirements' progress by entering categorized effort estimates in terms of hours or (EV) earned value. Reporting of project progress should also be provided in either categorized hours or Earned Value metrics.
