DirectShow plug-in updates: - All DirectShow categories are found and all instances (registered filters) checked for each. - DirectShow media object categories scanned and registered filters checked. - DirectShow preferred filters for media types checked. - Media Foundation preferred source filters checked. - Every filter is now checked to ensure it exists on disk in the location registered, in addition to just being registered. Updating build paths. Anon32 More... about 8 years ago
Add verification of Persistent Handler being registered with the system bitness, something Windows Live Mail fails to do on Windows 7. Anon32 More... over 8 years ago
Add SVG error, warning and information images. Assert some of the scanner's requirements. Add constructor for DefaultScanItem that takes type, severity and description at once. Use new table layout for listing plugin authors on start page. Update copyrights. Correctly handle unregistered - and other - class errors for filters (like we already do for property handlers). New Windows Associations project (incomplete). Anon32 More... almost 9 years ago
Add error vs. critical error usage in Windows Search Service plugin. Add some alright-but-not-great severity images and apply to the results list. Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Fix COM Checker build error in release mode. Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Fix release build configuration for COM Checker. Fix solution build configurations for release mode. Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Final changes for upgrade to VS2008. Fixed incorrect UUID for IInitializeWithFile, which was causing the incorrect failure reports for some property handlers. Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Add lots of verification to Windows Search filters. Currently identifies non-existent problems for some filters. Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Add VerifyCOMClassID method to IPluginHost, which executes the appropriate COM Checker executable to do the verification. Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Add COM Checker project. It must be compiled as both x86 and x64 and put into the plugins directory as "COM Checker.Win32.exe" and "COM Checker.x64.exe". Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Add support for Control-C to copy selected lines from the results list in both tab-separated and comma-separate formats. Anon32 More... about 9 years ago
Add signing key for Windows Search Service plugin. Extend default display handler to support overriding the severity. Added code to read the list of disabled indexing extensions (needs admin to work, alas). Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Added initial documentation to IScanner (more interfaces coming later). Updated the Windows search service plugin to list all the filters like the Indexing Options > Advanced dialog does (Vista). Still missing the odd file extension here and there, but it seems to be correct on all the ones it does list. Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
More Windows search service stuff - it now scans for IFilters in the 3 normal ways and returns the one in use, although it's not completely accurate yet. Change configuration for both plugins so they dump their release executables into the main application's release folder, like they already do for debug. Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Fix DirectShow plugin's default namespace. Add support for SetSections to DirectShow plugin. Make GUI call SetSections on each plugin as it's created for scanning. Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Add new plugin for checking Windows Desktop Search protocols and filters (not implemented yet). Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Update DirectShow filters plugin for new interfaces and Pre/PostProcess methods. Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Add default display handler always, so all scan items are reported. Add PreProcess and PostProcess steps for IScanner. Add IPluginHost to report data to plugins (like OS and bitness). Add support for 'sections' - things the user can toggle for each plugin, in a tree. Sections displayed under plugin in configuration tree, but not yet passed to plugins. Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Bring the scanner in to line with the IPlugin interface, and use it to find all the scanners and display modules. Update the GUI to store the Type as well as an IPlugin instance for each plugin, and then construct a new instance of each (selected) plugin for each run (so their state is good). It works now! Ensure items selected in the lists (both tabs) retain their selection when focus it elsehwere, so you can see what the data outside of the lists belongs to. Also, check the plugins by default, so you don't have to check each one in turn (later this willwill probably be persisted). Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Adding basic, unprotected, signing keys. The keys should be the same here, but it's not a requirement - it only needs both projects to be signed to work (it's needed for Strong Names). Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
Initial add of System Verifier VS2005 solution and two contained project files: Verifier (actual app) and DirectShow (a plugin). Currently not including signing keys until I figure out how to do that right - both projects need a signing key generated to use currently. Anon32 More... almost 10 years ago
