Aegir Hosting System

I've been running Aegir mostly for experimentation on a rackspace server. I've created a number of sites and platforms and they are still running on this server. I just created another Aegir install on Digital Ocean, I want to migrate some of my sites from the rackspace server to the digital ocean server. What is the best method to do this?

I am very new to Aegir, trying to import my custom site on Omega8. I am able to verify, but when I try to migrate, I get "The external command could not be executed due to an application error." I assume this is from the "Running.." command just before the error? If so how do I resolve?read more

What is the minimum version of Drush required by Aegir 2.x? I found two hints, with contradictions: The Aegir 2.0 release note (http://community.aegirproject.org/2.0) mentions Drush 5.5 as minimum for Aegir 2.x. On the other side, the install ... [More] manual (http://community.aegirproject.org/installing/debian) says I can run an automatic install on Wheezy, without any manual step. Hence Debian Wheezy has Drush 5.4 in stable repository, this indicates as Drush 5.4 as minimum for Aegir 2.x. Which doc is the correct one?read more [Less]

Hi all, I looked for relevant issues but it's possible I missed one, so I apologize in advance if so. A while ago, I set up an Aegir box for a client, where the base domain was "xyz dot com" and hostamaster was at "host.xyz dot com". The Aegir box ... [More] has about 30 sites at "*.xyz dot com". Recently, the client changed their domain to "abc dot com" and created an A record pointing to the Aegir box. Needless to say, things aren't working properly, since Aegir has a bunch of site definitions and Apache configurations referencing "xyz dot com" not "abc dot com".read more [Less]
