Project Summary

I'm developing a game engine (Ninurta) and game (Alal Lalartu) with the primary purpose of improving on areas in which I am weak and experimenting with various architectures. I am doing this solely in my free time and am providing the source code so I have a persistent off-site backup, other people can learn from it, and to receive critique. Ninurta is a threaded data-driven object oriented game engine utilizing SDL, OpenGL, and OpenAL (tentative). In addition I am writing a vector math library and physics engine (implementing both soft and rigid body objects). The engine will support a scripting language (my current choice is Lua but it remains unimplemented). I am programming on Windows using GCC but it should compile on Linux. Alal Lalartu I currently plan to expand into a top down shoot em up but I hope to keep Ninurta general enough that it can expand into any genre.
