Project Summary

Appenda is a work in progress, as are most open-source projects.

The goal of Appenda is to bring a J2EE / Spring Framework equivalent for the PHP environment, featuring dependency injection, inversion of control where possible, and promotion of a wide (rather than deep) class hierarchy.

Appenda will provide a number of standalone endpoints to provide service functionality, and rely on pre-defined XML + XSD schemas for intra-service communication, and ActiveMQ + Mule ESB to provide the routing and enterprise integration patterns.

And all of this using well defined, properly typed, unit tested PHP in an Eclipse + Maven development environment.
