dmEmu is meant to provide a platform on which API-using applications can be run and tested without the need for a test server running the real version of CONTENTdm(R). It is somewhat more flexible than the real thing in that different versions of the API (and therefore, different versions of CONTENTdm(R)) can be emulated without the need for separate test servers and all of the logistic and licensing hurdles that that would entail.
Most functions emulate their real counterparts with 100% or near-100% accuracy. When it is known that this is not the case, it will be noted in the function's inline PHPDoc.
dmEmu is not intended to be a CONTENTdm(R) replacement and is not even close to being one. It only emulates the CONTENTdm(R) PHP API along with a few of the CGI executables such as getimage.exe, thumbnail.exe, and login.exe.
dmEmu uses no OCLC source code.
