Project Summary

Deep Zoom Automation is intended to provide a means for site owners and content publishers to automate the process of creating Deep Zoom galleries. It provides a means to automatically pickup photos, tags and allow content managers to update metadata and publish a Deep Zoom gallery using Microsoft Silverlight 2.

The current version is an early release that provides metadata functionality. Subsequent releases will aim at providing
> Creating deep zoom galleries automatically from images placed in a folder
> Automatically resizing images in pre-defined grid templates
> Uploading these files to a project and wiring up with an Silverlight project
> Tagging of the photographs with tags, descriptions, etc. to create details display when zoomed into particular photograph
> Creating annotations and hotspots in images with links to additional actions

This project uses the Silverlight 2 Deep Zoom Composer tools provided by Microsoft Corporation and builds auxillary components and services focused on creating automated scenarios for Deep Zoom galleries.

Please note that the Deep Zoom Composer tools are in themselves evolutionary and hence any features of this project might be part of the "official" tools provided by Microsoft in the future. Feel free to join the project and contribute to building more complex scenarios aimed at easing the tasks of content publishers.
