Project Summary

This project is a union of the concept of ndisgtk( http://jak-linux.org/projects/ndisgtk/) , and auto-ndis (https://launchpad.net/auto-ndiswrapprer). The programming language to be used is python (so I can reuse the code from auto-ndis) and the graphic library will be QT.

ndisgtk is a GTK+ based frontend for ndiswrapper, allowing an easy way to install Windows wireless drivers. But it has not a database for downloading and installing automaticly windows wifi drivers.

auto-ndis does have a database with pci id, and urls for downloading and installing drivers, but it has no graphical interface, and does not allow the user to try drivers that are not on database ("Manual installation of inf file").

The test of the program will be done on Debian, but I can do my best to make it compatble with other distros. LSB and SystemV compatible.
