felix4gae is an OSGi implementation....

that enables developers to run OSGi-based applications in the Google App Engine environment. that enables developers to create web applications that may be dynamically extended at runtime by adding new bundles/features to a running application. that enables developers to create multi-tenant web applications that may be customized for individual users by controlling the set of features that are included in their application.

felix4gae adds the following features to felix...

can install and start bundles cached in the associated GAE .war folder. caches dynamically installed bundles in the Google DataStore (these bundles are also available via the Osgi Bundle Repository API). provides a custom OSGi HTTP service that exposes registered servlets underneath the felix4gae servlet's namespace provides a custom OSGi Logging service that logs messages appropriately so that logs are available via the Google App Engine Administration Console. provides an implementation of the OSGi RFC 138 API (Composite Frameworks) (Composite frameworks are used in felix4gae to implement multi-tenant web applications that may be customized for individual users).
