Project Summary

FreeMars is a Dune2 / Emperor clone, based on the Mars Trilogy books, for the GNU/Linux (Windows maybe but GNU/Linux is my first goal to achieve).
It should be based on a 3D engine with an isometric view, which permits the rotation of the area, and should support Open GL for fast displaying.
As the program is at its very early stages, I'm now busy creating the plot, establishing the factions, and what will the game looks like. As soon as it is almost done, I will put an advertisement at the help center for graphic artists, music artists, and developpers for the program coding in itself. I do my own translation in french, and english, and internationalize at start the file so it can easily be translated later on.
If you want to join the team at this early stage (for implementation of the 3D-Engine, or graphics, or anything else), feel free to contact me. I just will not make a public request at the moment.
