Project Summary

The Future Player project was sponsored by Future US, Inc and was designed and developed by The Chopping Block. After over a year of use on their own websites, Future has released the Future Player as open source under the Apache License 2.0.

The Future Player is a flash video player and supports:

Playlisted video URL Encoded XML Playlists Multiple playlist placement format (below, right, over, or none) Multiple bitrates High, medium, and low Age-Gating Ability to limit playlist content based up the users age Viral functionality Email to a friend Embed Copy link to clipboard In-Stream Ads Fully support for Google / DoubleClick rich media in-stream Ability to control offset and frequency of ads within a playlist.
