All of us who make our living by writing web applications in java, knows appfuse. (for some reason if you don't please check out , http://www.appfuse.org). Recently google started with it's app engine offering in java. and It requires still a good amount of putting together lots of pieces, before you can actually start the development, and there are not many articles to guide us through as well.
so here I am putting together a framework (or an eclipse project) which you can directly use to start your application development.
another point is this project is inspired heavily by limiting of choices..(sounds confusing?). Listen to this talk from Barry Schwartz and you would realize that Its best (specially in software world) to have exactly one way to do one thing ,(there could a be better way to do the same thing).
so we would limit our choices, we will use only JPA, Spring for middle tier and Spring MVC for front end. To start with we will not add any AJAX functionality. We will write code in such a way that you don't have to repeat the same code again.
lets get started.
