Geist3D is a real-time 3D graphics engine complete with a development studio published by Geist Software Labs. This open-source release contains the scene graph library including over 30 different nodes types as well as collision detection and rigid body physics. The source code is packaged with the Geist3D editor in a VC++ 2005 project that contains all of the libraries necessary to link the editor. After changing the source, code a new version of the editor can be compiled to test the modifications.
Although the code is packaged with the editor it is completely independent of any of the other libraries and can thus be used in standalone applications as well. The goal of this open-source release is to encourage developers to create extension to the Geist3D framework which may be useful for different applications.
