Project Summary

DescriptionGrammarKit is a simple framework for RFC4234 definition & parsing

RFC 2234 / 4234RFC 2234 was previously mentioned, but this RFC is obsolete (since October 2005), therefore there will be a few changes to the current implementation to conform to the current RFC: 4234.

DefinitionThis framework will be able to load a set of rules from a properly formatted file. New rules can also be added at run time, to allow maximum flexibility. Rules can be flagged as applicable or not, to control what rules we would like to use to parse the target.

ParsingGiven a set of rules, GrammarKit can parse text according to those, and return results in 2 different ways: A list of NSRange for each applicable rule A typical syntax tree

PlatformsGrammarKit is developed for Mac OS X for now, but we hope to port it to GNUstep as soon as it's usable.

StatusBasic engine for rules definition (done) RFC 4234 Core rules (done) RFC 4234 Self rules Parsing as a list of NSRange (done) Parsing as a syntax tree
