Problem to solve: People are not able to easily see what animals are available for adoption at a local adoption facility. Volunteers need an easy way to publish animal information to the internet quickly. As soon as an animal is placed in a pound the count down to euthanization starts, time is critical.
What has changed: Technology is now available and affordable so volunteers can use their iPhone to walk through a facility and quickly create a profile on the internet of every animal in the facility.
How serious is the problem: If I published the statistics it would be sickening. The root cause of the problem is people who do not spay or neuter their pets. People who 'think' they will make money selling puppies, and traditional pet stores that sell 'purebred' animals.
