JDiff is a java diff and merge library. Diff is based on Myers' minimum set of differences. Merge is based on a 3-way algorithm: both version are compared to the common ancestor using Myers' diff, in order to detect merge conflicts and warnings.
While JDiff provides a user interface, the core engine can be used apart to provide diff and merge analysis, and thus can be integrated within any external application user interface.
