I started using jison in a web based spreadsheet editor, called "jQuery.sheet". I looked all over the net and have not found something that makes creating languages or parsing easier. The project's leader, Zach Carter is leading a revolution on code with this beautifully written project.
Recently I needed to have the same type of capability, but on the server side, in php. I ended up taking jison humbly written "engine" and rewriting it in php, no now we have a very capable project that acts the same way on the server and client side. I have used jison to overcome obstacles that I would never have been able to in the past easily.

Here are some examples:
*Spreadsheet formula engine
*Word parser that strips all words out of html
*Wysiwyg editor
*Wiki language

I now look for ways I can integrate it!
