As Alex wrote yesterday, now when the stable version is out, we will try to release the versions more often, with any improvements we can get into the version, without breaking the stability. Therefore, it is my pleasure to announce the availability ... [More] of Joom!Fish 2.0.1, which comes with 4 fixes: Fix of a hardcoded jos_ string that had impact on the upgrade routine; Fix in the SEF routing that generated incorrect links in the language selection module; Minor addition in the banners content element file; Improvements in the English language files. This is a maintenance release, so do not expect new features. [Less]

First of all I like to wish every reader of the blog, every Joom!Fish user and all members of the team a late Happy New Year. My computer broke down just on the last day of 2008 and I can only see this as a good positive start into 2009 because all ... [More] backups had been up-to-date and work well :-). I'm sure you saw the announcement of the stable release of 2.0 and in these 7 days the version is already downloaded more than 3.700 times. I think this is pretty impressive and also shows that we have a lot of more work to be done next. The main effort for 2.0 was the migration towards the new Joomla! framework. This migration is done and now the focus can shift again. [Less]

After the release of the Stable, it is time to update our language files for the extension itself. The English package, which could be used for basis was updated as well. You can easily use the existing Translation Manager to create the language ... [More] files you want. Joom!Fish uses primarily some language files for the admin interface. For the modules and plugins additional language files are needed. Please check the download section if your translation is really missing. If you have questions related the translations or you found missing strings please use our forum. Please submit new created translations packs to the email [email protected]. Please include a statement in your mail that you release your pack under GPL version 2.0. Also include your forum username as all translators will get a special gift after their translation is accepted. We are planning to re-design and re-structure a bit our web site as well. After this process is completed, we will ask you to help us translating the menus and some general information of the site as well. And of course more new things will come and all our translators are always well informed. [Less]

After the release of the Stable, it is time to update our language files for the extension itself. The English package, which could be used for basis was updated as well. I already updated some of the languages, but it is possible that I missed ... [More] some. Please post your translations in the dedicated thread in the forum. Post there also if you find missing strings or have other suggestions. If you have sent translation and still don't have contributor access, please contact me via e-mail [email protected]. We are planning to re-design and re-structure a bit our web site as well. After this process is completed, we will ask you to translate our web site as well. We will grant you translator access with our cool club extension Joom!Fish Plus. It is very cool to note that the stable version was downloaded already 2,500 times. I would also like to remind that we are searching for a contributor, who will deal with content elements repository. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected]. [Less]

First of all, thanks to stevekwok, who found this bug. It appears that if your Joomla! does not uses jos_ a hardcoded prefix will cause issue. Stevekwok also posted the solution in our forum. This is already fixed in our SVN.

If you are upgrading from RC to Stable, remember to delete the cache, as otherwise you may have some small issues around. You can do that from Joomla! administrator -> tools -> cache. Deleting the cache is not an automated procedure on ... [More] install/upgrade, so you should do this manually. In fact, no bugs were reported so far and if nothing goes wrong in the last day, tomorrow we will publish the Stable version for the public. Some kind of a small gift for the New Year and my birthday :) [Less]
