Project Summary

Kronos C# is a C# compiler written in F#. The project is in the very early stages and is about a year away from full end-to-end compilation.

Goals for the Kronos C# project are as follows:-

Full bug-free compilation of C#3 code. Performance comparable with the Microsoft C# implementation. Visual Studio and Emacs integration. Good multi-core performance. Good tools support. For the time being I don't intend to target OSes other than windows, though perhaps that will change in the future. This is because I have limited time, not because I have any affiliation to any particular OS.

The purpose of this project is primarily educational. The project itself doesn't fulfil any particular needs given the quality of both the Mono and Microsoft implementations. As such I intend to be the only developer on the project, at least for the time being.

The code is under an MIT license which means you can do pretty much anything you like with it, though if you do please do drop me a line and let me know! You can contact me at lstoakes AT gmail DOT com.

I have a personal blog, as well as a language dev blog.
