I AM AN IDIOT. I'd added 'lib' to the load path but not actually included the lib directory in the gem.

I'd foolishly forgotten to add 'lib' to the list of files/dirs that are included in the gem, resulting in a useless gem package. That should all be fixed now.

Extracting the various assertion blocks into clearly named methods makes the test easier to understand in my opinion. It also made me realise that the constants in test_helper were entirely unnecessary.

The convention is to run the tests as part of the default rake task.

I wanted to start testing this little fella. I've started with an end-to-end/integration test around the 'create' functionality.

I think that extracting this logic makes the code easier to understand.

I want to start adding some tests around this little library. I think that's going to be easier to do if we sudo all necessary commands within the code, instead of checking that the user is a sudoer.

We already need the user to use sudo to create the apache virtual host so I don't see too much harm in having the log files written into the default apache2 log file directory.

This is petty but I'd prefer not to have spaces at the beginning of the virtual host config files that hostess generates.

Using a slightly more 'traditional' directory structure for this library in the hope that it makes it easier to work on.

Put log files in a hidden .hostess directory, so they're less likely to offend users (like me) and be deleted. Deleting the log directory will stop apache from launching properly.
