xH is a set of standards-based languages that have been combined to make it easier to create rich user interfaces for use in web applications, widgets, gadgets, and internet-facing desktop applications.
By bringing together standard languages (such as XHTML, SMIL, XForms, and RDFa) and a range of API extensions--the xH backplane--the xH stack allows for a choice of programming models; authors can take a high-level declarative approach and use mark-up, they can use the xH backplane Ajax library, or can even use both. At whatever level authors program to, they are guaranteed to be using established standards.
