Project Summary

Liteslide Engine is a light slideshow engine, not only in weight, but also in functionality. It takes little funny business to start up; Liteslide just takes an array of images objects and cycles them in an image box in the page itself. www.janahanzel.com is one site to use this engine, and the first one to be implemented with the new V2B version of Liteslide. Liteslide features many changeable variables that can be dynamically modified, slideshow controls (nothing fancy, just play, pause, next and previous), fullsize display, descriptions for each image and a pre-load fail-safe.

Documentation will be included in a future release, but I've tried to comment the code as much as possible, but it shouldn't be too much trouble to decipher it (if you understand JS).

Liteslide is tested in Firefox 2, 3, IE 6 and 7. Opera, Safari, and Camino should work, as they have a very similar JS engine. I've not yet tested it on Chrome. This is why I need volunteers to test the project. If you're interested, you should have, or can simulate: Low bandwidth Slow processor speed Old browser (IE 6 and lower, Firefox 1, etc.), or one of the browsers specified above.

Feel free to make modifications, distribute it, just make sure you don't 'accidentally' call it your own or 'forget' to leave credit if you use it.

Thanks!
