Summary:Due to lack of editors, i have decided to do my own material editor from scratch for ogre.
The idea is learn about shaders and materials and give to the comunity a simple editor.
This editor is going to use:
Qt Open Source as window interface. Ogre 3d as 3d rendering engine. Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition as programming IDE. Only windows support at this time.
Roadmap:Planned Features for 0.1:
Basic interface. Text editor. Syntax highlighting for cg, program and material scripts. Ogre configuration of render system. 3d preview of result scripts using ogre. Compiling using ogre compilers. Light support into the 3d preview. Use this lights as inputs in your shaders / materials. Project and workspace views.
Planned Features for 0.2:
Autocompletion of code. Select what technique is going to be rendered in the 3d preview. Finish the user interface. Support for HLSL and GLSL shaders. ....
