Project Summary

In 1981 Commodore issued a series of games for the newly-released VIC-20 computer. Duane Later wrote Blue Meanies From Outer Space, a Space Invaders derivative, in BASIC. There have been several remakes of the game for other platforms in recent years - this is not one of them.

Blue Meanies Revenge is a sequel to the original game, again for the VIC-20 (or VICE emulator) but written in 6502 Assembly Language, and featuring new gameplay and extended functionality. The basic framework of the original game is retained, but various additional elements separate this sequel from it.
