Project Summary

μManager controls digital cameras, motorized microscopes, shutters, stages, filter wheels, and other microscope related hardware. This software control enables microscopists to automate complex image acquisition approaches in an easy way. In addition, the μManager software has a number of programmatic interfaces that give scientists access to all relevant components of their microscope setup, enabling almost unlimited extensions to the base software. μManager runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, has a central core and pluggable device interface written in C++ and a GUI written in Java. Its API can be accessed from many different environments, the most popular being Matlab. It supports a large number of microscope related hardware devices.
