Ok,
This is a response to my previous post, since Tiago (libmsn’s author) replied and I think I should explain in more detail.
I think there should be a libmsn-api, in C, which is basically a bunch of .h files. Several things could implement this API, for example pymsn, which is written in Python, but with C [...]

Hello!
It has been a long time since the previous release, and there’s a reason for that, but first, on with the release.
This release would have pretty dull without Devid, since he pretty much did the two new features: custom emoticon sending support, and a new feature called for a lack of better name ‘independent personal [...]

This is mostly a bugfixing release, and not a very good one at that.

This release brings much improved support for the Hotmail service and aliases, which are now local, server-side support is optional. There’s also massive code cleanups, but hopefully you [...]

It has been a while since the last release mostly because of personal stuff (moving, trips, lack of Internet), but now everything is back to normal.
This release features a considerable number of bug fixes and support for OS X thanks to Christiano Farina Haesbaert. One step closer to Adium support
Also notable is a [...]

I’ve just released msn-pecan 0.0.10.
Not much in this release, basically now setting your personal message works and a couple bugs got squashed.
Since I didn’t blog about the last two releases I’ll mention the changes
0.0.9
A couple of bugs were
