Project Summary

In addition to a GUI, Veritas' (now Symantec) NetBackup suite comes with a large collection of command line utilities to inspect and manipulate its workings. These tools allow for sophisticated reporting and work-flow solutions but are non-trivial to use.

This set of object oriented modules, written in Perl, fronts these obscure CLI tools making possible very sophisticated scripts with relatively little effort.

Various releases of this NBU code base have been made available on CPAN by PBnJ-Solutions since 2002. Now, a decision has been made to make it possible for other to contribute more easily to their development by hosting the project on Google Code.
