Project Summary

General information:Main purpose of this project is to create simple way of using Newton Game Dynamics in Python code. newpy uses ctypes foreign function library with direct shared library function calls using only standard Python libraries.

At the moment project code under heavy development and it's not recommended to use this library binding in any new or existing projects. Anyway you can download Demonstrations and see some Screenshots. Also available some Examples of using API.

No Ogre3D or other huge dependencies like in OgreNewt library.

No any stable releases in near future — use hg clone.

Latest project news:31 July, 2009: Approximately 15-20% of all functions done. First versions of tutorial 01 and tutorial framework is ready.

22 July, 2009: Added one new demo, created testing MS Windows build (Python installation is not needed for running).

20 July, 2009: Project hosted on Google Code. First Mercurial push and first example of using.
