Project Summary

ONYX GNU/Linux is a completely original, from-scratch Linux distribution available in both desktop and server flavors. It aims to provide a stable, resource-friendly, and aesthetically-pleasing environment that works 100% on all hardware out-of-box.

ONYX is low-maintenance and engineered for long "shelf life," making it the perfect long-term software solution. Following this stability and longevity model, ONYX will support each released version for a minimum of two years, only releasing critical driver and security update packages.

ONYX is currently in Alpha stage, and is marked to reach Beta stage in Spring 2008.
