OSHIP builds on an extensive set of specifications for healthcare information systems of all sizes. The focus of these specifications are to provide implementability, interoperability and computability in a world where these three do not typically exist.

Any serious health informations systems professional will give the specifications a serious review and realize that they have been developed over two decades, with a continuing eye towards quality at all levels.

The specifications as well as the OSHIP source code are licensed for open source or proprietary use.
