Project Summary

ObjectiveThe aim of 3Flash project is to create open platform for launching U3 and other portable applications. 3F should be independent of U3 flashdrives. That means, that I expect it to be able to install and to launch U3 apps from dumb USB flashdrives and/or encrypted volumes and/or standard hard disks. 3F should be able to manage non-U3 applications too.

ComponentsProject consists of: first level launcher (Universal Launcher), responsible for mounting encrypted volumes, executing something like making backup or looking for the viruses, starting 3F GUI, etc. (in general actions to take after mounting USB flashdrive), GUI to manage installed apps (something like U3 LaunchPad), command line tools to start installed apps without GUI, dapi.dll, required by some U3 applications, set of tips about formatting U3 drives and creating CD partition on some kinds of dumb USB flashdrives.

Current versions (2009.03.25) Universal Launcher 1.0.0 ready to use 3F GUI 0.0.1 development just started 3F command-line tools 0.0.0 planning dapi.dll 0.0.0 planning tips 0.0.0 planning
