Project Summary
The goal of Virtual Terrain Project is to foster the creation of tools for easily constructing any part of the real world in interactive, 3D digital form. This includes a suite of cross-platform, open-source software for all stages of geospatial visualization, integrating GIS and Vis-sim.
Specific applications:
VTBuilder: A 2D geoprocessing tool; much like a conventional GIS but with higher-level knowledge for datatypes like transportation networks. It prepares data for visualization.
Enviro: A 3D runtime environment, with the aim to support visualizing any amount of data interactively.
