Project Summary

PfRep's main purpose is to help the cleaning of Exchange Public Folders before they are migrated to SharePoint, however, it can be also used for everyday cleaning operations as well. The tool helps understanding the usage statistics of the Exchange Public Folders by showing the folders with the dfferent shades of red in the hierarchy. Light red indicates that th folder is not used for a long time and and as it gets more red, it means that it's more frequently used. See the attached screenshot for a preview. This can help business departments to easily understand which folders are used and which are not. This can save a lot of time and storage costs. If the public folder contents are then migrated to SharePoint, it's only a subset that will need to be managed and retention policies can be set up for the data after migration.
