It is very hard to define what PHPDevShell is, it is not your average PHP Framework, it could be better described as a Application Management and Development GUI. But it is in essential a RAD framework. It is fast, stable and very secure with the eye on rapid result development.
Playing - comparing frameworks for over a year preparing for update of a set of data driven application sites using a proprietary framework and user network.
We wanted to get out of the "framework" building business and focus on our application.
PHPDevShell was the nearest solution to what we were looking to accomplish. Flexibility is really nice and seems to play well with the latest methods as well as our old code.
I think its very different from other frameworks in that it seems to be focused as a delivery system for enterprise level applications.
