Pixelfucker (pf) is a tool for VJ's, visualists, and artists working in the area of realtime video synthesis. Based on openFrameworks, pf has no internal GUI, and is designed to be remote-controlled over the network using a subset of the Open Sound Control (OSC) protocol. No official controller application is currently planned, though this may eventually change. For now, bleeding edge rapid prototyping of pf interfaces is currently taking place in the Supercollider language, though by principle, any language or application that can speak OSC can be used to control pf.
pf is currently in ultra-alpha status and is not recommended for non-technical users. However, if you are already familiar with the use of OSC, and are looking for a straightforward video synthesis tool that doesn't get all up in your face, you may find it of interest.
