Project Summary

Perl traditionally provides support for real and effective user-ids (UIDs). However it does not provide native support for saved UIDs.

Proc::UID provides a variety of mechanisms for UID and GID manipulations, and aims to provide a simple interface for the common operation of dropping and regaining privileges.
