Recently, SPINA Thyr has been released in version 3.4. SPINA Thyr is open source software that supports calculating constant structure-parameters of endocrine feedback control systems from hormone levels obtained in vivo. The new version uses the ... [More] PUMA HL7 engine for a novel feature that allows for exporting results of calculations as HL7 messages. Additionally, integration of the PUMA Unit converter in SPINA makes it possible to enter levels of thyroid hormones in different units of measurement, replacing an older custom solution that was developed for SPINA. Interestingly, this custom solution was in fact the technological basis for the development of the PUMA Unit converter.
