Reflow is a GUI for DOS and Linux, written in FreeBASIC. The "desktop metaphor" of Windows, Mac OS and Linux works quite differently in Reflow:

There is no theme or border that unifies windows (called items in Reflow) - for example, the supplied text editor is merely a blank sheet of paper. When you open a picture, you get the picture, and none of the surrounding baggage. The calculator application is a calculator, and nothing more. Reflow does not use a directory tree to organise files. Instead, a system of tags attached to each file allow you to organise your documents in the way you want, and find them quickly. This way, files can belong to multiple groups - so you don't have to worry exactly how your files are organised. Just type in what you want. There are three core components of Reflow:

the Reflow GUI engine TNT, the scripting language in which applications are written (currently about 80% complete) the virtual file system
