Project Summary
Scales is an experiment in both DSL design and a component based web design.
Its specific aims are to provide a DSL to create web pages and a minimal dependency injection framework to manage beans.
Basically I like JSF, but hate the xml. Scales is meant to be as easy to prototype in JSF without the pain of JSTL EL, and replacing string evaluation with normal typed functions.
The name is not meant to infer scalability, but the scales on a fish for the nesting of components.
