Project Summary

SNAILBot is a passive IRC logging bot, developed from ilbot. It is written in Perl; the IRC bot uses Bot::BasicBot for its low-level functions and logs all chat data to an external database (such as MySQL). The web frontend utilizes HTML::Template to format the data nicely.

SNAILBot is able to log from multiple channels on multiple servers simultaneously, and the web frontend features searchable logs, nickname filtering and highlighting, channel-specific customization of logos and quicklinks, and easy integration with analytics and sitecounter services.
