In simple terms, "SuperDeb" technolgy was "considered/invented" by two persons, each making their own programs for a common problem: easy offline installation of software in Ubuntu.
Robertson Hamish created some code and made it available at http://code.google.com/p/superdeb His technology was called "superdeb" and consisted of self-extracting scripts using the .sdeb extension. Later, someone nicknamed "hacktolive" (me) also worked on his own offline installers. To be 100% honest, I am not sure if I was inspired by the superdebs of Robertson Hamish, but I think I saw his code and took some ideas from there. Later, we both chatted on the internet and shared ideas in a co-operation spirit. In March, 12th, 2010, Robertson Hamish donated the page http://code.google.com/p/superdeb to me (hacktolive), allowing me to "unify" both projects. Currently, there is only one SuperDeb project, with hacktolive as the lead maintainer, but open to input from anyone.
