This program will do the job for most people when designing interiors or exteriors. The controls are intuitive, I was comfortable using the program within 15 minutes. There are useful features such as background image overlays, virtual visits, 3D exports and more. I find it enjoyable to just play around with this software. I left out one star because I found a few minor bugs and can see a potential for improvement in a few places. Other than that this is an awesome project, give it a try.
Quite a basic application, but it works and has great potential!
As of yet (2010), this is the first OS 3D design platform I know of, that works in Linux!
We desperately need an open source equivalent to Sketchup, and to Revit or Archicad....
Sweet Home 3D has taken the lead, I will be using it on my research project on open architectural design.
