Project Summary

Tiny-backup is a very simplistic and light-weight backup solution for unix type systems. It's just a bash script that I wrote in free time for practice but it actually seems useful enough for public release.

Features:

auto reoccurring backups (powered by cron) backs up any number of files and/or folders into the backup dir (this is meant to be run daily) backup 2 server (or another place on the system) at longer intervals (once a week?), archived (for now with 7z) with error checking auto removal of old backups

Todo:

more customization (such as selection of archiver, setting of intervals, etc) conf file (currently the only way to change things is to edit the script)

Current dependencies:

7z md5sum

Suggested packages:

cron

The actual script isn't 100% perfected for an alpha release yet. Please stand by :) Alpha 0.1 out
